History of Torretrencada:

Torretrencada is one of several settlements belonging to the Talayotic culture of Menorca, dating from approximately 1000 BC until the Roman conquest of the Balearic Islands. The talayots, after which this culture is named, are megalithic constructions that were probably used as defensive towers or meeting places.

The settlement of Torretrencada is especially known for its taula (a T-shaped monument made up of two megalithic stones), which is one of the most impressive and best-preserved examples on the island.
